Brave decision today – deliberately left the photo until it was dark, as I fancied having a go at star trails. Nice clear night, but very cold with it. Discovered quite rapidly that i don't really have the patience for this – and I don’t have a remote shutter gizmo either, which rather limits the length of the trail as I’m not prepared to stand there holding the shutter button down for 10 minutes. So here’s tonight’s effort – it’s Orion, and perhaps the most interesting thing about it is it does show the different colours of the stars quite nicely. It also shows just how far stars actually move in less than 3 minutes.
