1000/420: 15 April 2011: Battenberg Cake

I was munching on a piece of exceedingly sweet battenberg Cake when it struck me that it might make a nice abstract - so here we are.

I have a vivid memory of overhearing two American guests to a previous workplace discussing out loud what the 'digusting pink and yellow sweet stuff' was. I wonder if it is actually popular anywhere outside of the UK?
