1000/536: 21 August 2011: "Spyatri, laup out"

Taken from the bridge over the track at Aspatria station. The title refers to the legendary cry of guards on trains at Aspatria station, which can be roughly translated as "This is Aspatria, please alight here".

Apparently 'laup' which is Cumbrian dialect for 'jump' is effectively the original Viking word 'hlaup' which means much the same.

As far as the shot goes - I really rather liked the way all the lines converge.
