Travelling south tonight to visit the west country - and stopped off in Manchester to drop some kit off with No. 1 daughter. Stayed overnight at the Willowbank in Wilmslow Road. Very convenient and seems like a decent hotel - recently decorated , good service, nice breakfast.
It's easy to get blasé about these things when you stay away a lot on business but hey - if you want a modestly priced stopover on the edge of Manchester - I'd go for this one.
