Scared the vicar half to death tonight by emerging from the shadows after attempting yet another shot of floodlit leaves. Couldn't get any that I really liked though so was andering around the church-yard looking for a more general shot when this cross catching the lighting caught my eye. Quite apocalyptic I thought.

You know it’s an obsession when you think “I know. I’ll sit in a dark room and take a photo of myself by the light from my computer screen”. I need to get out more.

365/285: 01 December 2010: Tebay Services in the snow

Drove through some fairly foul conditions on the way home, although they had cleared up a bit by the time I got as far north as Tebay. There was still a bit of light in the sky so I rested the camera on the car roof for this shot. All those lovely orange lights just make you want to go inside I think.
