1000/402: 28 March 2011: Light evenings

Light has returned to our evenings. Hooray!! Went for one of our regular constitutionals around the block and was struck by the way the sunlight was playing into this field. Quite a challenge getting the exposure right in to the sun, but I think I cracked it.

And just as a bonus - the clouds were quite interesting later as well:

1000/373: 27 February 2011: Stormbringer

Probably an overstated title for a shot of a lone woolly-back on a hill, but it is quite dramatic. Quite pleased with this shot, because I took it with this treatment in mind, and it delivered the goods. I rather like the effect produced by Mike Lao’s ‘300’ Lightroom preset – doesn’t work with everything, but when it does it’s special. In this one I tweaked the contrast in the sky to enhance the storminess as well.
