Marion produced a birthday cake for my mum-in-law today. Absolutely delicious but suffering from a minor problem – she forgot to read the word ‘shelled’ when the instructions said “100gm whole pistachios, shelled”.
Caused a certain amount of hilarity around the table, and I thought the pile of shells we produced was worthy of record.

Hi - I cooked some form of hot curry in the distant past that contained many, many spices and about 6 whole chillies - so in they went.
Last part of the recipe said "remove chillies before serving" - which proved hard as I had chopped them up - meal proved to inedible and I went to the pub instead!
