1000/485: 20 June 2011: Baked Mud

A quick dash today between finishing in the office and heading off to find dinner, but this one convinces me there is always something to photograph.

This is the baked silt left over from a puddle at the lower end of the car park at the Park Royal. I quite like this rather high contrast b&w treatment because of the way it emphasises the patterning.

It does make me wonder how many 'parched desert' photos are really just dried puddles somewhere. This one is a good example of how choice of viewpoint and subject can give the impression that the photo comes from somewhere else entirely.
